Eddie Cope Jr., CET

Eddie began his career as a Water Treatment Plant Operator over 23 years ago and is currently employed by the Anne Arundel County Government as a Utility Team Manager.  His current responsibilities include the operation and maintenance of all Northern Water Facilities in Anne Arundel County.

 

Eddie has worked in operations and maintenance of a multiple water treatment plant system consisting of more than twenty facilities.  Throughout his career, he not only ensures the safety, quality and efficient operations of a facility he also makes himself available for emergency situations. 


Eddie was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation in Recognition of Achieving Highest Standard, an Award of Excellence for Outstanding Performance and Dedicated Service, as well as, a Letter of Appreciation from the Director of Utilities. 

Eddie holds a Maryland Class 4 Water Operators License, Maryland Superintendent License, and is a Certified Environmental Trainer. Since 1994, Eddie has been a coordinator and instructor at the WWO Short Course. On behalf of MCET, Eddie delivers classes in Water Treatment Processes, Fluoridation & Scaling/Corrosion Control, Membrane Filtration, Source Hydrology & Conservation, Water Exam Prep, Surface Water Treatment, Chlorine Use & Safe Handling, Water Treatment Math, Water Sources & Quality, Small Water Systems.
