Senior Health and Safety Specialist

Deb has been with MCET since 1998 delivering training and occupational safety and health technical assistance. She is a certified occupational health nurse specialist and has a Master's degree in Public Health from John Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health.

Deb has twenty-five years of experience in occupational safety and health with a concentration in training and education including extensive work with healthcare facilities, risk management, bloodborne pathogens/ infectious disease issues in the workplace, and injury prevention. Other areas of expertise include training program design and delivery;  workers' compensation loss control and risk management; safety and health program design, evaluation and management; workplace injury and illness analysis; development of injury prevention strategies including the application of ergonomics in the workplace; industrial hygiene; emergency/disaster preparedness; occupational safety and health compliance programs and auditing.
