Robert 'Bob' Rhode, Senior Safety Training Specialist
Bob
Rhode is currently a
part-time faculty member of the Maryland Center for Environmental Training and the lead Safety Trainer and the Safety Technician for the Town of Ocean
City, Maryland’s Public Works Division.
For the past twenty years Bob
has been responsible for training related to safety, security, risk
management plans, process safety management and emergency response for all
of the Town’s public works facilities, including the water and wastewater
facilities. Recently, he was
assigned to the Homeland Security Taskforce for Ocean City and to Emergency
Management when activated under Ocean City's Emergency Operations Plan.
Bob acts as a Coordinator and Safety Officer for the Ocean City
Disaster Relief Team, which is a part of Ocean City’s Emergency
Management Team. The Disaster Team, recognized by the Federal Emergency
Management Agency and Maryland Emergency Management Agency, has been
deployed to 7 major disasters.
