Ken Wood, P.E.,
Trainer
Ken Wood is a professional engineer
with two masters’ degrees, one in ecology and the second in civil engineering. Ken is a
licensed plant operator with over 30 years experience and has been an
instructor with MCET for over 20 years. Ken was involved with the
development of the Maryland need-to-know criteria for wastewater plant
operators. He is also a consulting engineer, plant manager, and trainer.
Ken's expertise is in the areas of municipal/industrial water and
wastewater facility start-up and troubleshooting as well as safety
assessments and operator training. He has experience with all types of
water and wastewater treatment processes at facilities ranging in size
from 0.03 to 400 MGD. Additionally, Ken is an associate professor of
statistics and environmental management at the University of Maryland
University College.
