Guy
Woodard, Trainer
Guy
Woodard began his career as a water plant operator treating the cold
mountain waters of Colorado in the early 1980s. During his subsequent
career he has operated, maintained and led efforts optimizing a wide
spectrum of treatment processes for several public water utilities
located in Colorado, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. His
official titles have included Operator, Foreman and Superintendent. His
unofficial roles have included lab analyst, controls technician,
mechanic, industry advocate, coach, trainer and technical writer.
Guy has
a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical & Industrial Administration
from Metropolitan State College of Denver and Associate of Applied
Science degrees in Water & Wastewater Technology, Industrial &
Commercial Electricity, and Solar Energy Technology from Red Rocks
Community College in Golden, Colorado.
Guy is
a member of the Water Works Operators Association of Pennsylvania (WWOAP)
and the American Water Works Association (AWWA). He currently serves
the Pennsylvania Section of the AWWA as a Partnership for Safe Water
Representative. Guy delivers training for MCET geared towards
developing the skills and preparedness of water and wastewater utility
operators in today’s work environment.
