Partners
Partners providing funding for MCET's
initiatives include the
Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) where
MCET serves as the state-designated environmental training center providing
training to meet certification requirements of water and wastewater
professionals in Maryland. MCET provides technical assistance to Maryland’s
66 major wastewater plants discharging into the Chesapeake Bay to upgrade
to Enhanced Nutrient Removal.
Additional funding from the
Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) allows MCET to deliver on-site technical assistance for small wastewater
facilities. Funding
received from the
Mining Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) provides
metal/non metal and coal safety and health training designed to reduce
mining accidents, injuries, and illness.
