AN ERGONOMIC TRAINING PROGRAM IN POWERPOINT FORMAT
FOR MARYLAND NURSING HOMES
MCET's work in the safety and health field led to many courses for the nursing industry. The feedback from several training sessions across Maryland with the non-acute healthcare sector identified a need for ergonomics training in the Nursing Home industry. Therefore, MCET applied for an OSHA grant under the Susan B. Harwood program. As a recipient of this grant, we developed a training program related to Ergonomics in the Nursing Industry. The final result is a Powerpoint presentation and associated files. These are now available by request for nursing homes to integrate as needed into their training programs.
